Our General Practitioners include Dr Michael Tremellen (Practice Principal) and a number of part time GPs (Dr James Telfer, Dr Chantel van Werkum, Dr Michael Wimberley, Dr Chong En Chu, Dr Francis Breslin, Dr Jessie Zhu and Dr Miranda Wingett). Our Allied Health practitioners include a Dietitian (Charlotte Battle) who has experience in all areas of dietetics across the lifespan and Psychologists (Madonna Hammond and Kate McKendry) who have experience in various therapies and mindfulness strategies to provide strength based, solution focused interventions.

Billing and Fees

MyFamily Medical is a privately owned practice endeavoring to deliver high quality medical care and clinical services. To enable us to achieve this, our consultations incur a time based fee.

Please note: Due to the nature of an initial consultation, these will generally be charged at the long consultation fee.

From the 1st November we will offer bulk billed appointments to Commonwealth concession card holders including Pensioner Concession Card, Health Care Card and Commonwealth Seniors Health Card and children under 16 years of age. Please bring your valid concession card to your appointment.

Clinical procedures and consumables will incur an additional out of pocket fee. The medical staff will go through these associated costs with you as required.

Payment of MyFamily Medical consultation fees, clinical procedure and consumables are due at the completion of each patient’s appointment.

MyFamily Medical provides on-line Medicare claiming upon payment of your consultation fees. Your rebate will be paid directly into the bank account you have registered with Medicare, usually within 1-2 days.

    For all after hours medical emergencies please call 000. We have made arrangements with the Stanthorpe hospital to cover any after hours needs for MyFamily Medical patients. Please contact the Stanthorpe emergency department at the hospital for your after hours medical care.
